Julianna is a professional dancer based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a performing artist with Full Radius Dance and Monica Hogan Danceworks. She also pursues freelance work, and has had the opportunity to work with local choreographers like Julio Medina, Patsy Collins, Meaghan Novoa, and Nadya Zeitlin of Bautanzt Here, among others. She has performed in local dance festivals like the Fall for Fall Dance Festival, the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival, and the Inman Park Dance Festival.

In addition to performing, Julianna has presented her own choreographic works in Atlanta. In 2023, she premiered her solo, From Within, at Spectra: Volume 1, a festival hosted by Monica Hogan Danceworks. She also choreographed Fall of Grace on the students of Rise City Dance, which was selected to be performed at the 2023 Fall for Fall Dance Festival.

 

As an active member of the Atlanta dance community, Julianna enjoys working with artists of many disciplines and backgrounds. She furthers her involvement in the dance community as the Board Treasurer with DanceATL, a non-profit organization that provides resources and programming for local dance artists.

 

Julianna grew up in River Forest, Illinois. She began her training at the Academy of Movement and Music in Oak Park, Illinois and continued her education at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated in December 2018 with a BFA in Dance and BBA in Accounting, with high distinction and Honors in both majors.

 

Julianna has trained extensively in ballet, contemporary, modern, and Graham. She furthered her studies at summer dance programs with DanceWorks Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Company, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, and AXIS Dance Company, among others. In 2019, she studied at Orsolina28 in Moncalvo, Italy. While there, she learned William Forsythe and Crystal Pite repertory and choreographic methods.

Julianna has been honored to perform works by renowned choreographers like José Limón, Martha Graham, Alice Sheppard, Monica Bill Barnes, and Rennie Harris, to name a few.

 

Julianna has performed locally in Atlanta at notable venues like 7 Stages Theater, the High Museum of Art, and the Georgia World Congress Center. She has toured nationally and has had the privilege to dance at the Joyce Theater, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Queens Theater, the Auditorium Theater, and Hancher Auditorium, among others.

In addition to her dance career, Julianna is also the Principal of Balance Point, LLC which provides business consulting services for small businesses and non-profits. She stays active outside the dance studio and enjoys practicing Muay Thai in her free time.
